Table spread of curries, rice, naan and side dishes

About Curry & Cream

Diners eating at a restaurant table with plated food and glasses

Curry & Cream is a halal Pakistani and Indian restaurant and takeaway at 223 Stockport Road, in Cheadle Heath, Stockport. We opened to do one thing properly: cook the food people actually eat at home in Pakistani and Indian kitchens, and serve it somewhere a family can sit down without it being an occasion.

That means the curries are the centre of the menu, not a section of it. Karahi cooked hard in the pan. Qorma built on yoghurt and fried onion. Biryani layered and steamed rather than stirred together. Everything is made to order, which is why a busy Friday takes a few minutes longer than a chain would.

Around that we cook what a neighbourhood restaurant needs to have — grilled and peri-peri chicken, halal burgers, shawarma and wraps — and finish with bubble tea, freshly pressed juice and thick milkshakes. The whole menu is halal, and there is a vegetarian side to it: chana masala, vegetable biryani, vegetable samosas and a veg wrap.

We are open seven days a week, one until eleven, and four until eleven on Fridays.
